About Christine:  Everything you could ever possibly want to know

Dreamday Destinations

A Destination Wedding and Romance Travel Planning Consultancy owned by a Wedding Planner-Travel Consultant who is passionate about helping people plan and design life’s happiest occasions.

Hello and Welcome!

I’m Christine Terezakis—An entrepreneur, planner, designer, consultant, and dreamer.  I believe life’s happy moments should be celebrated, no matter how big or small.  I love to plan & design destination weddings and romantic getaways throughout the Caribbean for people who typically lead busy lives, and desire a planning experience that’s seamless, creative, and worry-free.  My clients enjoy the luxuries of all-inclusive vacations (my travel specialty), and they want a wedding or getaway that’s beautiful, fun, and memorable.  If this sounds like you, then you’re in the right place.

Getting into this biz was kind of a journey.

I actually didn’t start out as a Wedding Planner.  Or as a Travel Consultant.  My career started in retail with a dream of becoming a Buyer in the fashion industry.  Fresh out of college, I became a regional Marketing & Merchandising Manager overseeing multi-million dollar ready-to-wear and cosmetic divisions of a large well-known department store chain.

Fast forward 5 years…

My husband and I decided to start our family.  So, I left the retail world and stayed home to raise three wonderful human beings.  It was during that time that I dabbled in various home-based businesses—the final being a party cake baker and artisan of custom wedding and party favors…which, to my surprise, led me to planning and designing my first wedding professionally (meaning I got paid).  That was in 2004.

Finally! The career I never knew I was dreaming of!

I used the money I earned from that first wedding to join a reputable professional wedding organization, and I enrolled in their accredited educational program for wedding planners.  Voila! My wedding & event planning business was born.

Three years and multiple weddings later, I became an Accredited Wedding Planner.  Two years after that, I was named one of 4 Event Design Trendsetters of the Year by Wedding Planner Magazine.  Then 1 year later, I earned one of the highest designations in the wedding industry—Master Wedding Planner.  I’m lucky to have learned from some top wedding pros (my favorite being David Tutera), and I’m honored to be among the ranks of only 40 MWP’s in the world today.

So, where does Romance Travel in the Caribbean fit into all of this?

Around the time that I launched my wedding planning business, a couple of other things happened… One: I fell in love with the Caribbean while on a surprise birthday trip to the islands that my husband had planned for me.  Two: I decided to become a certified specialist with the leading romance resort brand in the Caribbean—Sandals.  I traveled to the resort locations to experience them firsthand, acquainted myself with the onsite teams, and learned about every Sandals property so that I could match people to the locations they’d most enjoy.  I continue to stay up-to-date by doing all of the above in addition to attending recertification classes every year.

Why did I do THAT?  Well, it’s like two careers met on a blind date and really hit it off.

As I worked with my clients to plan their weddings, I found that they had similar needs for planning their honeymoons.  There was a lot of uncertainty for couples about where to go, what to do, who to trust, and how to make their trip special.  I realized that pairing wedding planning with honeymoon planning would be something really helpful to them.

Because of my journey, my perspective is pretty unique.

Why?  Because I’m not just a travel agent who also sells destination weddings as a resort package. I’m a professional Wedding Planner who specializes in destination weddings and romance travel in the Caribbean, and I’m a Professional Travel Consultant who is a brand expert when it comes to all-inclusive Sandals and Beaches Resorts.

I’m proud to have created an award-winning and trustworthy business over the years.  I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients from around the U.S. to plan and design their weddings, events, romantic getaways, and luxurious Caribbean vacations.

I fell in love with Sandals in 2005. While attending the annual ABC Wedding Planners conference, I attended my very first training to become a Certified Sandal Specialist. At that training, I won a stay for two at the Sandals resort of my choice. That trip was to Sandals Whitehouse (now Sandals South Coast) on the beautiful island of Jamaica.  My husband and I were immediately welcomed and continually pampered by the attentive Sandals staff. We enjoyed gorgeous oceanfront accommodations, a delicious variety of restaurants, cocktails whenever we wanted, local entertainment, lush tropical surroundings, amazing pools, snorkeling & scuba diving excursions, water sports, long stretches of private beach, and so much more. It was heavenly, it was romantic, and it was ALL included in our stay. That’s when I truly understood what guests experience at Sandals all-inclusive resorts. I’ve been a travel specialist exclusively with Sandals and Beaches Luxury Included™ Resorts ever since.

Yes, absolutely. I take training workshops to earn the Certified Sandals Certification every year since 2005. This intensive training keeps me up to date with all of the offerings, new additions, updated programs and policies, and all pertinent information about each of the Sandals and Beaches resort property details and accommodation options. I also attend the Aisle to Isle wedding training for the continually updated Sandals and Beaches destination weddings programs and all-inclusive wedding packages.

In addition to my annual Certified Sandals Specialist certification training, I travel to the resorts on a regular basis. I participate in FAM (familiarization) trips for travel partners, and I personally vacation at the resorts. This allows me to experience their service, tour the properties and accommodations, see their new and exciting additions and enhancements, check out their wedding package and décor updates, and to get to know their management and staff. Having a personal experience and connection with the properties enables me to match my clients with the location that is the best fit for what they want their vacation or destination wedding experience to be.

I started my wedding planning business in 2004, so, I’ve been a Wedding Planner for many years. My background in everything wedding gives me a unique perspective and approach when helping couples plan their Sandals/Beaches destination weddings and honeymoons. Romance and luxury are things I cater to every day in my wedding planning business, so, helping people plan their honeymoons and destination weddings has simply become a natural extension of what I do.   My goal and passion is to help my clients have their DREAM day, whether it’s a wedding, a vacation, or any kind of celebration. That’s how the name of my company was born—Dreamday Celebrations, which grew to Dreamday Weddings, and which now extends to Dreamday Travels.

Neither…but you get added benefits when you book through me.

The cost for your travel, accommodations, and extras such as spa services and excursions is the same regardless of whether you book through me or by yourself online. HOWEVER, when you book through me, you get very personal and readily available attention, and the benefits of my firsthand in-the-know experience to match you to the resort and the accommodation level that’s the right fit for you and your budget. I always make sure my clients get the BEST DEAL that Sandals/Beaches is offering when I’m making your vacation arrangements. PLUS, I add some nice extra surprises for my travel clients (but you’ll have to find out what those are when you book your trip through me).

You should know that travel partners are not allowed to offer their own discounts on Sandals or Beaches bookings. And some travel agencies and specialists charge an additional fee for their booking services, but I do not. My booking services are COMPLETELY COMPLIMENTARY for you, and are not added to the price of your booking in any way.

I’ve been on cruises and I’ve been to other inclusive resorts. In comparison, I’ve found that you get a lot of VALUE when you stay at Sandals/Beaches Resort because so much there is included that is not included in other all-inclusive resorts or cruises. You might get into those starting at a low price, but when you incur extra costs such as bar tabs, upgraded dining, excursions, fees for extra amenities, taxes, tips/gratuities…it really adds up, and you wind up paying more than you thought you would.

To compare, here’s what’s INCLUDED with a Sandals Resort stay: multiple restaurants of your choice for dining and snacks any time, unlimited premium spirits and beverages, swim up bars, water sports, scuba and snorkel excursions including equipment, daily entertainment, greens fees for golfing offered at select resorts, free Wi-Fi, fitness centers, free all-inclusive wedding packages (for stay 3 nights+), roundtrip airport transfers, AND ALL TAXES AND TIPS/GRATUITIES.

I’d say I’m a frequent and upscale traveler. I love the beautiful surroundings of nature and of old cities. I appreciate luxurious accommodations, and I’m all about the view from my room. I love touring. I enjoy fine wine and dining…and shopping the local shops for treasures made by its local residents. I love new experiences mixed in with a little adventure.  Places I’ve traveled include: Austria, France, Greece, Spain, Mexico, Canada, states throughout the USA with the furthest being Alaska, and many islands in the Caribbean including Saint John, Saint Thomas, Saint Martin, Saint Lucia, Antigua, Barbados, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, and the Bahamas.

To me this is like trying to pick a favorite child. I’ve stayed at just about all of the resorts, and have enjoyed every one. Each island and each resort has its own unique offerings, style, personality, and vibe. Some of the resorts are large while others are smaller and more intimate, so, it depends on what kind of experience I’m looking for. My husband and I both are beach people, so, we tend to stay at the locations that have the longer stretches of beach. We like to stay at the larger properties that have the most options for activities and dining. I also love an amazing pool area to lounge around. We are usually planning a trip to relax when we visit Sandals, so, those larger resorts allow us to enjoy our vacation without ever having to leave the property for anything if we choose not to.

Wow, there are so many things I love to do there. But, one thing I always do is walk on the beach at sunset, sipping a glass of champagne with my husband. It’s a moment we treasure every time.
